Past Pilots - The Play Real Game and The Get Real Game, 2003
The Play Real Game (for students aged 8-10) and The Get Real Game (for students aged 16-18) were piloted in 2003. Like other pilots, an online evaluation survey tool was used evaluate implementation and resource issues for future versions.
The evaluation of these programmes involved student, parent and teacher feedback, and focus groups with students and teachers. The pilots identified certain aspects of the programmes which needed to be modified to suit the Australian context.

The Play Real Game
I really enjoyed teaching it and the children were so excited when I would announce…
“It’s Play Real Time”.
Teacher
PRG was a lot of fun but I learned things too, like how hard it is to be an adult and to be responsible all the time.
Student
I think it was a wonderful experience, teaching my daughter about life in a grown up world.
